Lived experience artworks at RecoveryFest

As part of RecoveryFest, members of the Norfolk Recovery Community, alongside individual Norfolk Integrated Housing and Community Support Service (NIHCSS) service

users, have been working together to reflect on their personal recovery journeys through collaborative art pieces.

These powerful pieces will be showcased in a gallery within The Forum’s Atrium, offering visitors a meaningful insight into lived experiences of recovery through creativity. Each artwork draws inspiration from the CHIME framework, which highlights the core elements of recovery: Connection, Hope, Identity, Meaning, and Empowerment.

Together, these creations celebrate resilience, shared experiences and the transformative power of community.

Alongside these collaborative pieces, the gallery will also feature individual artworks created by people with lived experience of mental distress and/or drug and alcohol recovery. Some of these works have been developed during dedicated art sessions at the Norfolk Recovery Community Hub at St Augustine’s Hall, delivered by Evolving Canvases CIC. These sessions offer a supportive environment for creativity, reflection and connection. Further information about Evolving Canvases CIC can be found at the link below.
